Does all of this news about outdoor concert series make your eyes water? Do you sneeze at the thought of a walk in the park? Allergy sufferers, take note: You can celebrate the great outdoors indoors at the Green Center (8025 Blackberry Avenue, University City; 314-725-8314 or www.thegreencenter.org). Nature in Forms: New Paintings by Benjamin Guffee opens with a free reception from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 22, and the exhibit features plein air works by this local artist. These landscapes, these portals to the out of doors — waves crashing, trees climbing — will transport you right out there into the thicket and onto the beach, sans allergy attack (and sunburn, for those with sensitive skin). What a deal! The show remains on view through Friday, June 26, so when all of your friends are at the park, feel free to head over to the Green Center; the gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Mondays-Fridays. Starts: May 22. Continues through June 26, 2009
