Take one look at the nutritional information for almost any chain restaurant's menu, and you'll know why America is fat. How these places are able to squeeze so much unhealthiness into a single meal is beyond us. But we don't have to sit idly by, shoveling in the fat grams and zoning out in front of the TV. We have the power to get up! We have the power to exercise! So get out there and learn a new sport, why doncha? Tennis might be nice. You know, May is National Tennis Month, and in honor of that special declaration, a most picturesque spot is offering free tennis today. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Tower Grove Park (4256 Magnolia Avenue; 314-771-7776), a Tennis Block Party brings people out to the courts — and brings tennis to the people. Learn more about the fun by visiting www.tennismonth.com.
