Want some good automotive news for a change? Chrysler is turning a profit! Not really. But it is possible to utter "cars" and "fun" in the same sentence these days, particularly when talking about the second annual Muscle Car Reunion and Nostalgia Drags. Follow the sound of growling engines to Gateway International Raceway (700 Raceway Boulevard, Madison, Illinois), where such drag-racing legends as Don "Big Daddy" Garlits and Roland "The Hawaiian" Leong will be signing autographs and showing off their sweet rides. Muscle-car enthusiasts can ogle the competition (and get some good deals on parts) at the car show and swap meet, and the weekend's packed schedule of events includes plenty of nostalgia drag-racing. Witness the speed and ingenuity of Nostalgia Pro Stock, Geezer Gassers, Nitro Funny Cars and more. The gates open Friday at 8 a.m., and the fun continues through Sunday (May 29 through 31). Weekend passes are $45 for adults and $25 for kids ages seven to twelve; a daily pass is $25 for adults and $15 for the seven-to-twelve set. (Kids younger than seven get in free.)
