When a princess is captured, things get pretty hectic. The authorities keep their eyes peeled for the villain, the tightrope walkers balance on high, the trapeze artists swing through the air, the hula-hoop lady keeps those hoops spinning, and the standup horseback riders, well, they stand on those galloping horses' backs! Such is a typical day under Circus Flora's big top (at North Grand Boulevard and Samuel Shepard Drive) — do you think you can handle all of the excitement? Sure you can! Come be entertained and stunned any day (except for Monday, the circus' day of rest) from Thursday, June 4, through Sunday, June 21. The Circus Flora performances offer something for everyone: There's the peanut-free preview on the first night (beginning at 7 p.m.), there are shorter performances at 10 a.m. on Wednesday mornings, and there's even a barbecue during which you can hang out with the circus stars starting at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 14. Plus, all of the aforementioned thrills and kid tumblers and puppy performers and much more are included in your price of admission — which is just $8 to $36 (at 314-534-1111 or www.metrotix.com). To learn more about the fun and to check show times, visit www.circusflora.org. And we'll see you at the circus!
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: June 4. Continues through June 21, 2009
