Charming chimney sweep Bert (a.k.a. Dick Van Dyke) isn't the only one who can create magical sidewalk art — the Missouri Botanical Garden (4344 Shaw Boulevard) has found a whole slew of folks who can add a bit of whimsy to its non-green spaces during Garden Party Nights. These summer soirees run from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursdays from Memorial Day through Labor Day (no party on June 25), and each evening features a different artist, brewery and winery. In addition to the drinks and the eye candy, tram tours are offered (at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.; $3), as are kid-friendly activities. To see the full schedule and to learn more, call 314-577-9400 or visit www.mobot.org; admission costs $3 to $7.
Thursdays; Thursdays. Starts: June 4. Continues through Aug. 20, 2009
