See the (Art) SceneBy Alison SieloffPublished on June 10, 2009 at 4:42amWith three new shows opening from 7 to 11 p.m. on Friday, June 12, at ArtDimensions, gallerygoers are bound to get a decent read on what's happening in the art scene in St. Louis. Todd Fischer (brother of long-time Night & Day contributor Mark Fischer) presents Transference in the Solo Exhibit Gallery, large works will hang in the Flax Gallery as part of Large & in Charge, and the Main Gallery will show juried pieces not hemmed in by any overarching theme, thus the show's title, Sans le Motif. That's quite a variety for one venue! ArtDimensions' galleries are located on the third floor of the Mossa Center furniture store building at 1214 Washington Avenue. Admission to the opening-night festivities — which include good eats, music and more — is a suggested $10 donation. The shows remain up through Saturday, August 8; the galleries are open from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Learn more by calling 314-497-5356 or visiting www.artdimensions.org.
