A Date Which Should Live in Infamy

Susan is a black-belt online dater; Elliot has never gone on one in his life. But he's fallen for Susan through a series of emails -- or perhaps he's fallen for her writing style -- and now the two are meeting for the first time in person. Eager to make a good impression on the other, Susan and Elliot share a jittery encounter of blurted-out confessions (he always brings a rope for his first dates) and awkward admissions (she habitually carries a knife in her purse). Echo Theatre Company presents Adam Szymkowicz's Nerve, a strange comedy about modern courting, at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday (July 10 through 25) at Theatre 134 in the ArtSpace at Crestwood Court. Tickets are $15, and there is no performance on Friday, July 17. There are, however, two performances on Friday, July 24, at 8 and 10:30 p.m.
July 10-11, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 7 p.m.; Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m. Starts: July 10. Continues through July 25, 2009
