To many, a motorcycle is far more than just two wheels, a seat and an engine — a bike can represent freedom and nonconformity. It can also inspire artists and be the life of the party, as it will be tonight starting at 7 p.m. at the Foundry Art Centre (520 North Main Center, St. Charles). The Art of the Motorcycle gala held at the gallery space celebrates motorcycles through everything from Harley-Davidson art by Scott Jacobs (who will be in attendance) to displays of both new and vintage bikes, and from talks about motorcycles to hands-on biking action. The evening also includes eats and drinks, and merch will be available for purchase. Suggested dress is "slightly upscale and festive motorcycle attire" — we're guessing you bikers out there know what that means. To get in on all of this two-wheeling action, call 314-422-7677; tickets cost $50 in advance and $55 at the door, and proceeds benefit Saint Charles Riverfront Arts.
