Pre-Seasoning the Falcons
Prior to the regular season's kickoff, St. Louis' own battlin', batterin' Rams plan to put the pepper to the Atlanta Falcons tonight in a preseason exhibition extravaganza. Last year the Falcons clinched a wild-card spot, but their goose was cooked by a bird of another feather, as they lost in the wild-card round to bad-boy Bill Bidwell's NFC championship winners, the Arizona Cardinals. But this is a whole new season — or the pre- part of a whole new season, at least. The new-look Rams and their new head coach Steve Spagnuolo take on the Falcons at 7 p.m. at the Edward Jones Dome (Broadway and Washington Avenue; 314-241-1888). Tickets cost $40 to $330.
