For all of the hoopla surrounding the hosts of American Idol who will replace Paula? Why is Simon such a dick? How does Seacrest keep his hair so perfectly mussed? — it's easy to forget that the juggernaut television show is primarily about the music. And furthermore, it's hard to argue with the show's ability to produce hit makers, from Kelly Clarkson and Chris Daughtry to Jennifer Hudson and Carrie Underwood.
