Many Stories Has this House

OnSite Theatre specializes in performing plays written for a specific location. The group has produced shows for a bowling alley, a photo studio and an art gallery. But for its next show, OnSite has chosen a house. Just your run-of-the-mill, supposedly haunted house. Elizabeth Birkenmeier's One Extraordinary Darkness is set in the Green Center (8025 Blackberry Avenue, University City), which for dramatic purposes is the home of the eccentric Green family. Professor Green has invited his students — you, the audience — to his home to demonstrate his latest breakthrough. And it's ... well, we can't tell you. But it's a doozy. One Extraordinary Darkness is performed at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday (October 16 through 31). Tickets are $20, and the show takes place in the house and on the property, so dress for the weather. Guests should be capable of climbing stairs, as well. Call 314-686-0062 or visit www.onsitetheatre.org for more information.
Fridays, Saturdays, 7 & 9 p.m. Starts: Oct. 16. Continues through Oct. 31, 2009
