While there are no shortage of decaying buildings within the city limits, photographer Dan Younger chose to document the shambles of one abandoned St. Louis city high school. Once full of life and learning, the structure has been left to rot, and this professor of art at the University of Missouri-St. Louis captured the wasting away for all to see. Today, Younger gives a talk about High School Confidential: Documentary on an Abandoned St. Louis High School, his latest project. The hourlong lecture is part of the Monday Noon Series (314-516-5699 or ce.umsl.edu/cfh), and it takes place at 12:15 p.m. in the JCPenney Conference Center on UMSL's campus (1 University Drive at Natural Bridge Road). Admission is free, and some snacks will be served.
