Some people believe that Christmas music should be neither heard nor seen until December — but we're so close at this point that we'll give the UMSL Department of Music a pass. After all, a free concert of holiday standards performed in one of the city's more beautiful halls is a gift, and it's rude to turn down a gift. And so tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Anheuser-Busch Performance Hall at the Touhill Performing Arts Center on the University of Missouri-St. Louis campus (1 University Boulevard at Natural Bridge Road; 314-516-4949 or www.touhill.org), you can enjoy the Jazz Ensemble and Vocal Point singing some of your seasonal favorites.
