The Hills Are Alive

As of press time, it was still unclear whether or not this Christmas would be white. But at Hidden Valley (17409 Hidden Valley Drive, Wildwood; 636-938-6999 or www.hiddenvalleyski.com), it's always a snowy white Christmas -- and not only in your dreams! The folks out at our own little slice of Colorado have been making the frosty, cold stuff for a while now, so the base is solid and ski- and board-ready. To work off some of that cheese ball, those bowls of nuts, that brisket, those helpings of macaroni and cheese, the iced sugar cookies, the Christmas goose (really?), the pound of chocolate you ate in one bite (shame!) and maybe even a bit of that extra ladle, or four, of gravy, get out to the snowy mounds for a bit of evening winter sport. The slopes will be lit from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. this Christmas night for the Moonlight Marathon, and lift tickets cost $34 on their own or $62 with an equipment rental.
