Surf-punk is one of those genres that looks good on paper but in reality has never been executed all that well, outside of genre founders Agent Orange. Rather inexplicably, the band just began its fourth decade of musical service without so much as an indefinite hiatus, accidental overdose or single diversion in sound. Granted, the trio – which always features frontman Mike Palm and a seemingly never-ending rotating rhythm section — hasn't released new material since 1996's not-too-bad Virtually Indestructible, so maybe there's a long-gestating Peruvian pan-flute record the public's just not ready to hear yet. Still, Agent Orange is a live band first and foremost, and it spends more time on the road than it does sitting behind a computer — which perhaps explains why their official website hasn't been updated since 2006. In other words, come prepared for a show.
