Catch Fire
Bowfire is an ensemble featuring some of the finest string players in the world. They take elements of Celtic, World, jazz fusion and classical music and blend it into a towering inferno of sound and vision. With an elaborately choreographed stage show, vocalists and instruments as beloved as the traditional fiddle and as unusual as the Chinese ehru, Bowfire is not your run-of-the-mill performance. The group plays at 8 p.m. at Powell Symphony Hall (718 North Grand Boulevard; 314-534-1700 or www.slso.org). Tickets are $35 to $65, and please note the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra will not be performing.
