At Night & Day Global Industries, we are strong supporters of eagles and their activities. We are awed by their power of flight and their ability to soar, we are ever impressed by their hunting prowess, and we think that they're the most dapper-looking of all of the birds. Always beautifully feathered — it must be that sharp eyesight! — eagles represent our country well. But the U.S. of A. isn't the only home of these magnificent birds. They live all over the world! To meet some local eagles and their faraway brethren, don't miss World Eagle Day at the World Bird Sanctuary (125 Bald Eagle Ridge Road, Valley Park; 636-225-4390 or www.worldbirdsanctuary.org). Held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., this free event offers up-close looks at bald eagle flights, photo ops with the natty birds and craft projects for the kids, with food and eagle-themed merchandise available for purchase. Plus, animal enthusiasts can check out the Wildlife Hospital, where more than 300 birds are treated annually. Talk about supporting eagles!
