TEABONICS: SIGN OF THE TIMES
Get off your high horse: What's your point ["Presenting Teabonics, the New Dialect of Political Discourse," Aimee Levitt]? At least these people have the willingness, energy and desire to create their own signs, rather than the ACORN protesters who couldn't even read the signs that they were holding up at their rallies.

Four strikes you're out: The point is that these people are uneducated idiots. Misspelling the word "language" in a sign purporting that English is America's "only lanaguage" is equal parts ironic, pathetic, idiotic and hilarious.

In America, spelling ain't nessessary: Hell yeah! This is America. Even if they have no idea what they're talking about, at least they're talking. They don't need your fancy "spelling" or "coherence."
I'm with Geotrader, via the Internet

Hey, Geotrader: The point is that these folks are bumbling idiots, who rail about taxes even though 95 percent of them got a tax cut. They hate "big government" but are awkwardly silent about the new Arizona immigration law. These people are nothing more than functionally illiterate bigots.

Which is it, lefty? Strange how this goes out after a website pops up urging liberals to "crash tea parties" by making racist signs and signs that feature poor spelling. Now one would get a kick out of printing all the poor spelling, grammar and bad sentence structure used by the RFT, but that's expected. These people are human, just like liberals and so-called "progressives." I find it even more ironic that the "elites" are sticking to the "these-people-are-uneducated" mantra after it has been reported that the majority of tea partiers are affluent college graduates. So which is it, lefty? Are they poor, uneducated shills, paid by evil big businesses? Or are they overeducated and wealthy elitists who own big business? When will you look in the mirror and realize they are a parody of the fear-mongering, "sky is falling" leftist protesters? In your mockery, you mock yourselves and prove your bias.

Apology accepted: Actually, I changed my mind. I was stupid for defending these people. They really are stupid, too. I'm just insecure and jealous of the cool liberals and their latte coffees and hip fashion.

FUNNY BUT MEANINGLESS
Claire's novel idea: Funny stuff, but in the end it doesn't mean squat ["Video: Sen. Claire McCaskill Talks Shit to Goldman Sachs Execs," Keegan Hamilton]. Ultimately, it is the SEC that has any say over the greedy pigs at Goldman Sachs. Hey, here's a novel idea: Let's tax the hell out of the Wall Street big-bank boys and use the money to pay for universal health care!

IMPEDING FREE COMMERCE
Obey laws of economics: The NAACP and MOKAN do nothing but segregate black society, which is the complete opposite of what they are supposed to stand for ["Former St. Louis Mayor Sues Metro, Is Quite OK About It," Chad Garrison]. Why do we need 20 percent minority clauses in contracts? Isn't that very much saying we want you to give 20 percent of this business to one of our friend's contracting companies? This is just another restriction to free commerce, much like the restrictions on certain international industries that are forced to either use our labor, or a certain percentage of parts, in their products. It sounds like we aren't obeying the laws of economics.

Erratum
Last week, we erroneously attributed the capsule review The Country Girl to Dennis Brown. It was written by Paul Friswold.
