Huck Me? HUCK FU!
Prepare for the lost weekend to lose all lost weekends. Tom Huck, defiler of minds and eye holes and the evil prince of Evil Prints, brings a little bit of the backwoods to the city with his second annual Huck Fu BBQ. Beginning at 4 p.m., the back patio of the Atomic Cowboy (4140 Manchester Avenue; 314-775-0775 or www.atomic-cowboy.com) devolves into a Deliverance-style playground with performances by the Zombie Chickens from Outer Space, the Hooten Hallers and The Dirty 30s. The Atomic Cowboy’s bar staff will concoct street-lethal cocktails to help you better forget the sins you’re sure to commit after watching Mimi’s Metal Mammas play in the the dunk tank. And what would all this vice be without a lot of gluttony? The pig de resistance of this BBQ is the 140-pound whole hog that’ll be spit-roasting throughout the afternoon. Your $5 admission includes one plate of hog, and it ends when the last bit of pig is eaten or the last person drops.
