Garth Weiser, the eponymous exhibit opening White Flag Projects' fifth season, contains three of Garth Weiser's works: a 57-by-10-foot temporary mural painted specifically for the gallery; a water-soluble painting on the exterior of the building; and a conceptual piece consisting of 150 pages torn from a book reproducing his 2008 painting, I wouldn't have worn mascara if I knew I was going to be taking a trip down memory lane. The opening reception is from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, September 11, at White Flag Projects (4568 Manchester Road; 314-531-3442 or www.white-flag-projects.org). The gallery is open Wednesday through Saturday, and Weiser's work remains up through Saturday, October 23.
