Perhaps someone in your family, maybe a grandparent, has suffered from dementia, and you've experienced its devastating effects firsthand. If not, you can imagine the heartbreak, the emptiness, the utter sadness of seeing somebody you've known and loved not know you back. Unfortunately, Jean's going through this entirely-too-familiar situation right now with her husband, Alec. She's looking to move the pair of them into someplace a little easier to maintain than the house in which they raised their children, but he's no help and neither are their now-grown kids. Add to that the burden of navigating the health-care system and dealing with a meth addict at the front door, and you've got a woman who's angry, and who has every right to be. Donna Weinsting stars as Jean in the play Another Home Invasion presented by the Echo Theatre Company. This one-woman show, which was written by Joan MacLeod, is staged at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and at 3 p.m. Sunday (October 8 through 24) at Theatre 134, located in the ArtSpace at Crestwood Court (Watson and Sappington roads).
