A Day to Remember

6 p.m. Wednesday, November 17. Pop's, 401 Monsanto Avenue, Sauget, Illinois.

Of all the bands currently operating within the popcore scene, A Day to Remember is unarguably — and even sort of inexplicably — the biggest. (Pop-punk + hardcore = popcore subgenre ed.) Even things that turn into stumbling blocks for other bands — releasing a cheesy cover of a massive pop song or having a guitarist (and main songwriter) quit in the middle of an album cycle — haven't slowed down ADTR one bit. The Ocala, Florida, quintet's new album, What Separates Me From You, is due in stores later this month — and given the massive buzz surrounding it, what soon might be separating you from the band is a twenty-foot barricade followed by a thousand or so concert attendees. What we're trying to say is these dudes are only going to get bigger — and fast — so see ADTR now at Pop's before the band is playing hockey arenas.
