Located along the main drag in Ferguson, Hill Brewing Company is bright, lively and welcoming — the kind of corner bar/restaurant that's thankfully more full of conversation than televisions. Seasonal brews crafted on-site include a tasty pumpkin in the fall, which slides down nicely with the sliders, here called mini burgers. Other tiny sandwiches are on special during happy hour — brats and barbecue-pork minis round out the list — or you can go full-size with either of the last two options. Add a cup of beer-cheese soup (not part of happy hour but nonetheless tasty), and you've got yourself a solid, all-American midweek meal at a very reasonable price. (AS)
