Amid a warren of chain retail shops, it's nice to stumble upon something more familiar — it's nice to grab drinks and eats at this Bill Cardwell restaurant. In BC's Kitchen's spacious (if nondescript) bar area, outfitted with high tables and backless stools, you'll likely find all ages of diners — officemates, first daters and families alike — tucking into mini cheeseburgers, calamari, fried drummies and other sharable snacks, all of which are on the discounted happy-hour menu. To turn your apps and drinks into dinner, go for a wood-oven-baked pizza instead. This thin-crusted, fancy pie, the kind of pizza that pairs better with wine than with beer, sells for less than a ten spot during happy hour. More than one topping costs extra, but Di Gregorio's sausage is the only topping you'll need. (AS)
