The Missouri Botanical Garden (4344 Shaw Boulevard; 314-577-5100 or www.mobot.org) is already trimmed for the holidays, what with the Gardenland Express train setup, the Victorian Christmas at Tower Grove House and the Holiday Trimmings at Kemper Center. But in true seasonal fashion, the garden also hosts Christmas Carols in the Garden from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday (December 18 and 19). The Holiday Ramblers, Glad Tidings and harpist Terri Langerak perform the sounds of the season in Monsanto Hall and the Kemper Center, and a certain someone in red (Santa!) stops by to hear last-minute Christmas wishes. Regular garden admission ($4 to $8) applies.
