During the other eleven months of the year, Celia Shacklett can be found bringing joy and merriment in one of her many musical incarnations: as a family-friendly solo performer, as the leader of Celia's Big Damn Rock Band and as bassist for Firedog. But during December, Celia kicks her estimable spirit of goodwill into overdrive and pilots Celia's Yuletide Xpress Secular Holiday Sing-Along, an amorphous, many-member group of singers, musicians and well-wishers. This year's incarnation will be making no fewer than ten stops at bars, coffeehouses and, because Celia has a big, big heart, assisted-living facilities. Catch the Yuletide Xpress as it makes an all-ages matinee performance at Off Broadway, but be warned: Audience participation is strongly encouraged, so come ready to sing.
