More About
If you're not a Christian, this time of year is an endless, slow-motion punch in the gut. But us pagans are a tougher breed than you folk, so we dont go around crying on TV about how you stole our trees and our gift giving and our entire Yuletide festival and turned it all into this crass eructation of commercialism that reverberates for the entire month. At least it gets us a couple days off from work, enabling us to honor the earth and our kin in quiet fashion. A nice long walk through Forest Parks depths is a welcome respite from you lot, especially at twilight when the All Fathers ravens return to their roosts in their clattering fashion. Under the tall trees in the gloaming, you can feel all of creation pulsing slowly in the cold while the birds flutter and hum themselves to sleep. A few sardines left behind on the rocks for Huginn and Muninns kin as a sign of respect and youre ready to return refreshed and realigned to the artificial world.
