Up and Down the Hill

It's three days after Christmas, and you're all mistletoe'd and figgy-pudding'ed out. Your visiting relatives, however, are still going strong — what to do? Pile everybody in the van and head down to St. Louis' historic Hill Neighborhood and let 'em loose on the streets. The Hill Nativity Walk features heirloom nativity sets (loaned by area families so that others can experience the traditional Italian presepi) on display in business windows. While cousin Marvin is seeking out the terra cotta nativity set from Palermo, you can duck into any number of food-based businesses for a quick snack — maybe a little tiramisu and some coffee. Admission is free, and maps showing the locations of all the presepi are available at Girasole Gifts and Imports (at the corner of Wilson and Marconi avenues; www.thehill-stl.org).
