Bradford/Carter
Bradford describes her work for Pointilized Prime as the “esoteric relationship between mathematical and astronomical phenomena.” This means wooden jewelry with embedded bits of metal approximating constellations and simple geometric shapes. Carter’s work in Typography of the Nothing First Century subverts the advertorial message of billboards and bus shelter signs by repurposing these content-free slogans with found imagery. Bradford/Carter opens with a free public reception from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, January 14, at Concrete Ocean Art Gallery (2257 Jefferson Avenue; www.concreteoceanart.com). The gallery is open 2 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the work remains up through Friday, February 4. Admission is free.
