Deborah Kerr and Cary Grant fall in love but part with the agreement that they'll reunite atop the Empire State Building in six months. But can the two actually commit to going through with the plan, let alone commit to each other? An Affair to Remember is the sort of timeless love story that Hollywood produced when it had stars -- it's so good that it was cannibalized for parts in order to make Sleepless in Seattle. Chances are good that in another five years, Hollywood will gut both films and then Frankenstein them back together as Sleepless, starring Channing Tatum and Megan Fox. Stave off that inevitable nightmare by enjoying the original film at 7 p.m. this evening in Lindenwood University's Young Auditorium (209 South Kingshighway; 636-949-4411 or www.lindenwood.edu/film). Admission is $5, cash only.
