In this, the nesting time of year, it's difficult to find motivation to do much of anything outside of the house. You have to layer up even for a trip to the grocery, and waddling around with all of those clothes on can just be so exhausting. You need to gain strength while you're out and about, strength that only wine, our lifeblood, can provide, and you need to make sure that what you're heading out for is worth it. The 25th annual Missouri Winefest -- held at Westport Plaza (I-270 and Page Avenue, Maryland Heights; 314-576-7100 or www.westportstl.com) from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday (February 12 and 13) -- provides both: a most worthwhile time along with strength in wine. And not just any wine. The Winefest prides itself on offering up the best from our fair state's grapevines, with ten Missouri wineries serving four vintages apiece for the sampling. Tickets to the sip show cost $20, which includes a tasting glass, and note that food will also be on hand as will live music; proceeds benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
