Lifeblood

This traveling group exhibition organized by Jennifer Weigel features art that is inspired by menstruation. This natural part of female life is rarely talked about in public, so the participants use art to celebrate this essential component of the human life cycle and also commiserate about enduring it. Lifeblood opens with a free public reception from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, February 23, at Gallery Visio on the University of Missouri-St. Louis campus (1 University Boulevard and Natural Bridge Road; 314-516-7922 or www.umsl.edu/~galvisio). The gallery is open Monday through Thursday, and the exhibition remains on display through Thursday, March 24.
Mondays-Thursdays. Starts: Feb. 24. Continues through March 24, 2011
