Saturday The Birds Fell From The Sky

Artists and pals Cameron Fuller and Travis Russell use drawing, multi-colored tape, woodworking, paint, occasionally taxidermy and whatever else may come in handy to create installation art that doesn’t so much represent another reality as it feels like it was actually wrenched from another reality and shoe-horned into this dimension. For their new experiment in altered location, Saturday the Birds Fell From the Sky, the duo have constructed a “whimsical, yet apocalyptic” setting. Enjoy their cheery vision of the End Times at the free opening reception from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, March 11, at Good Citizen Art Gallery (2247 Gravois Avenue; 314-348-4857 or www.goodcitizenstl.com). The gallery is open Friday and Saturday, and the work remains up through Saturday, April 9. Good Citizen will be open daily, however, from Wednesday, March 16, through Saturday, March 19, during the Southern Graphics Council International Conference.
March 11-12; March 16-19; Fridays, Saturdays. Starts: March 11. Continues through April 9, 2011
