SLSO:LOTR:FOTR

How do you make an epic fantasy film even more...epic and, well, just plain awesome? Start with an Oscar-winning musical score, add a live orchestra and set 'em loose for an experience like never before. Erik Ochsner and the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra perform Howard Shore's sweeping score for The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, while the film plays on the big screen behind the orchestra. Performances take place at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday (April 1 through 3), at Powell Hall (718 North Grand Boulevard). A limited number of seats are available for all performances. Tickets are $40 to $85 and can be purchased at www.slso.org or by calling 314-534-1700.
