Fresh Young Art

The 35th annual Young Artists' Showcase is a competitive, prejudged exhibit that features exceptional work from area high school students between the ages of fifteen and nineteen. For many participants, this is their first exposure to the world of gallery shows and opening receptions — and it's hopefully not their last taste. Come out and see what's new with the city's newest artists at the Young Artists' Showcase opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 8, at the St. Louis Artists' Guild (Two Oak Knoll Park, Clayton; 314-727-6266 or www.stlouisartistsguild.org). Admission is free to all, and many works will be up for sale, so pack your wallet. The work remains on display through Friday, May 6, and the gallery is open Tuesday through Sunday.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: April 8. Continues through May 6, 2011
