When San Diego's Crocodiles first emerged a few years ago, it ditched the hardcore inflections of its former bands, The Plot to Blow Up the Eiffel Tower and Some Girls, for a moodier, darker approach. The duo has since gradually toned down the Psychocandy fuzz without sacrificing its original gritty, buzzy charm. On its second album, 2010's Sleep Forever, tracks such as “Mirrors” and “Stoned to Death” fall somewhere between Echo & The Bunnymen's mysterious drones and the early '90s shoegaze school. For this show, Crocodiles' first following a European tour, it will be joined by Bay Area reverb 'n noise merchants the Fresh & Onlys.
