While Dave Dictor has always defended gay rights (as he defends all kind of rights), he is not "openly gay". Check your facts.

The kids were divided, but they're reunited. In the '90s and '00s, the Subhumans made the rounds with Citizen Fish singer Dick Lucas, who helped make the band's reggae and ska influences more prominent than ever. Now the original lineup is making the rounds, reprising classic progressive hardcore, such as material from 1984's punk-rock opera, From the Cradle to the Grave. Opening the show is arguably the best second-tier '80s U.S. hardcore band, MDC. Furious, dynamic skank detonations such as "John Wayne Was a Nazi" made 1982's Millions of Dead Cops one of the great punk albums. The Texas band is led by frontman Dave Dictor, an openly gay total badass who inspired Ian MacKaye to go vegan. Dictor oversaw a new lineup on 2004's not-bad album Magnus Dominus Corpus. But the current touring incarnation features most of the original members.
