Googling "Google" in an effort to learn the history of the search-engine giant can quickly have one surfing the Web in circles. Fortunately, Steven Levy, senior writer at Wired magazine has put pen to paper and assembled the definitive story of how Stanford University students Larry Page and Sergey Brin revolutionized the Internet and how we use it. Levy visits St. Louis County Library Headquarters (1640 South Lindbergh Boulevard, Frontenac; 314-994-3300 or www.slcl.org) at 7 p.m. this evening to discuss his book, In the Plex: How Google Thinks, Works, and Shapes Our Lives. Admission is free, and copies of In the Plex will be available for purchase.
