Roger That

Are you ready for an evening of suave urbanity leavened with a dash of low-budget charm? Thomas Stockman's monthly Super-8 Movie Madness series high-fives the impending Vincentennial with a special Roger Corman Movie Madness. Shortened versions of Corman's classic Edgar Allan Poe adaptations The Raven and The Pit and the Pendulum — both starring Vincent Price, of course — will be shown at 8 p.m. at the Way Out Club (2525 South Jefferson Avenue; www.myspace.com /wayoutclub). Also on the bill are Corman's A Bucket of Blood and The St. Valentine's Day Massacre, but the big deal this month is Stockman's use of twice the millimeters. He's bringing along his 16mm projector so that he can screen the entirety of Corman's 1957 popcorn classic, Attack of the Crab Monsters. All of this Roger Corman goodness can be yours for just $4 at the door.
