Rollin' Out West

Throwing elbows, swearing creatively, rocking good hair and even better outfits: That's what some of us call "the workday." But if your nine-to-five isn't quite that exciting, there's still a sure-fire source of adrenaline and awesomeness: the Arch Rival Roller Girls Travel Season Home Opener. Now in their brand-new home, the Midwest Sport Hockey complex in Queeny Park (570 Weidman Road, Ballwin), the ARRG All-Stars begin a promising season of wheeled domination. Show up at 7 p.m. this evening to see the Saint Lunachix and the Springfield Roller Girls go skate-to-skate with the Ohio Roller Girls. Once the rink action ends, the fun continues at Iggy's Mexican Cantina (13645 Big Bend Road, Valley Park), where players and spectators alike can celebrate the new ARRG season over tasty food and margaritas. Tickets for the bout itself are $15 at the door or $12 online. To make your e-purchase, visit www.archrivalrollergirls.com, where you'll also find more information about the league and the season's schedule. Info is also available by calling 636-230-6466.
