The pot roast, however, is terrific. The meat is tender, its natural savor complemented by a mouth-filling, tannic sourness and warm seasoning (clove, black pepper, perhaps juniper and ginger). This is served atop an excellent rendition of spaetzle, the simple flavor of the tiny little dough balls amped by the malty zing of beer, and red cabbage braised in apple-cider vinegar.
A delicious plate of sauerbraten? At a Disneyfied beer hall-slash-sports bar inside a casino? Sold to the people of St. Louis — a city with a proud German heritage — as "German Pot Roast"?

Where the hell am I?
FYI: The Burgers are sent through a Burger Press so that the will hold form and cook evenly. This is done one by one. Without the press burgers at this fat to meat ratio will fall apart or turn into a ball of meat.
We've been several times just to have dinner -- it's nice that you can get in and out of there and not really go anywhere near the smoky casino floor -- though the smoky smell does still manage to get into your clothes. Regardless, great beer selection and food that isn't as great but always good. Warm companion pretzels appetizer, philly sandwich and fish and chips are all above average. South City/County can (and does) do a lot worse.
The visit was useful. Content was really very informative. From www.expresscakesindia.com/deli...
