From the Godzilla-sized monster in Japan's Frankenstein Conquers the World to the wild west weirdness of Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter, there is no shortage of oddball Frankenstein movies out there. Tonight Washington University presents one of the absolute wildest with a screening of Andy Warhol's Frankenstein (a.k.a., Flesh for Frankenstein), as it continues to celebrate the Modern Prometheus in the "It's Alive" summer film series. Produced by Andy Warhol and directed by Paul Morrissey, Flesh is an over-the-top homage to European gothic horror cinema starring cult fave Udo Kier as a stark raving mad Baron Frankenstein obsessed with assembling a master Serbian race -- from corpses. The film was originally released with an X-rating for its bizarre violence and rampant sexuality, but was later trimmed for wider distribution. Wash. U.'s schedule lists the complete 95-minute unrated cut, so leave the prudes at home when you head over to January Hall's room 110 on the Washington University Campus (Forsyth and Skinker boulevards).
