An eagle's talons make ukulele-playing difficult, and sparrows are notoriously terrible on the harmonica. However, birds overcome these challenges by creating beautiful music with their own sweet voices. Put a song in your heart this evening at Birds in Concert at the World Bird Sanctuary (125 Bald Eagle Ridge in Lone Elk Park, Valley Park). At tonight's tuneful event, witness inter-species harmony: Birds soar overhead as the Raptor Project, the sanctuary's in-house band, performs catchy songs. The Raptor Project teaches kids (and their parents) about environmental awareness through such entertaining ditties as "Animal Noises" and "Turkey Named Fred." The concert begins at 7 p.m. and is followed by an additional set featuring local artists. Much like birds in flight, this event is totally free.
