Kurt Warner did a lot of amazing things on the football field back in the "greatest show on turf" days, but he'd be the first one to tell you his most amazing accomplishments are achieved off the field. His charitable organization, the Kurt Warner First Things First Foundation, aids families through coat drives, building and maintaining pediatric recreation centers in hospitals, working with high schools to educate students on disability awareness and providing family trips to Disneyland for children with life-threatening illnesses. Most amazingly, Kurt and Brenda Warner participate in all of these activities as well -- they're true leaders in the practice-what-you-preach game, a game that has shockingly few role models. The Warners return to St. Louis for another charitable mission, this time with the Night With Champions at the Pageant (6161 Delmar Boulevard; 314-726-6161 or www.kurtwarner.org). You'll enjoy food from local restaurants and bid in the silent auction, followed by Kurt and current Rams quarterback Sam Bradford discussing football while Joe Buck emcees. Doors open at 5 p.m., and tickets for the full evening are $51. Tickets for the stage program only are $31, and admission begins at 6:15 p.m. in that case.
