White Flag Projects' (4568 Manchester Avenue; www.whiteflagprojects.org) new exhibition is the collaborative effort MAKE Skateboards, which originated at New York's I-20 Gallery. Organized by artist and filmmaker Scott Ogden and Jonathan Lavoie, MAKE Skateboards is a retail setting comprising three sections. A selection of one-of-a-kind skateboard decks with truly beautiful and unique artwork by 26 contemporary artists, including Eduardo Sarabia, Amy Granat, and twins Ivory and Shelter Serra, are available for purchase. Also represented is work by LAND Studio & Gallery in Brooklyn, which provides art resources for adults with developmental disabilities. The third portion of the art-shop experience is vintage clothing by Portia & Manny (who typically only sell by appointment, so get it while you can). The show opens with a free public reception from 8 to 10 p.m. Friday, October 28, and then is open from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday (October 29 and 30).
