More About

It's the most wonderful time of the year for residents of the St. Louis Zoo's Penguin and Puffin Coast. Today at 2 p.m. the King and Gentoo Penguins will don their Sunday best tuxedos, step outside of their enclosures, and shuffle alongside zoo-goers for another grand Penguin Parade. The flightless fowl will march from the gift shop to the entrance of their home in the Penguin and Puffin Coast, where they will join their other fine-feathered, foul-weathered friends. With the exception of Christmas and New Year's Day (and weather permitting) the penguins will make this journey every Sunday through February 26. Admission to the zoo is free, and there is plenty happening at the park this time of year, from the evening's "Wild Lights" display to festive fireside stories. Visit www.stlzoo.org for more information.
Sun., Dec. 18; Sundays. Starts: Dec. 18. Continues through Feb. 26, 2011
