Not since the Rumble in the Jungle has there been a battle royale to compare to the smackdown on display in the cinematic seasonal slugfest, Santa Vs. The Snowman. In this computer animated film, Santa has no choice but to show his claws and deliver some serious season's beatings when his frosty foe makes a move to claim the title of the holiday's top gift-giver. Ben Stein voices Spunky the Elf, while Jonathan Winters lends his talents to Santa, whose 50-foot tall nutcracker toy soldier will tower overhead on the St. Louis Science Center's massive OMNIMAX screen (5050 Oakland Avenue; 314-289-4424 or www.slsc.org). Santa vs. the Snowman screens daily through Saturday, December 31 (the Science Center is closed on Christmas Day), and tickets are $8 to $9.
