Steven Spielberg and George Lucas have made some of the most iconic films in cinematic history, but what would Jurassic Park or Raiders of the Lost Ark be without their trademark John Williams scores? There's a reason people set the "Imperial March" as the wife's ringtone, and some of us hum "The Raiders March" during a tough workout. Everyone knows what it means when those songs reach their epic crescendos: a seriously bad Sith lord is coming your way, or a smokin' dude in a sexy hat is about to do something awesome, respectively. David Robertson and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra give new life to these compositions, plus pieces from Home Alone, Close Encounters of the Third Kind and more with the Movie Music of John Williams at Powell Hall (718 North Grand Boulevard). Performances are at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday (December 29 and 30), and tickets are $40 to $85. For more information, call 314-534-1700 or visit www.slso.org.
