John Zielinski was a successful journalist and photographer, and then he decided to take down the U.S. government. Why? Well, it's complicated. So complicated that filmmakers Chase Thompson and Ryan Walker created a full-length documentary about the man and his mission, and at the end of it you're still not quite certain why it is exactly that he became such a zealous crusader. Their film, Zielinski, provides a look at the world through its subject's point of view; it's a murky web of vague conspiracies about human trafficking rings and Satanism at the highest levels of government, along with moments of truth that tickle at the back of your mind. Zielinski screens at 7 p.m. Friday through Sunday (January 6 through 8) at Off Broadway (3509 Lemp Avenue; www.offbroadwaystl.com). Tickets are $10 to $18.
