The Saint Louis University Billikens are posting a strong season so far (9-1 at the time of this writing), flirting with the top 25 in both the AP poll and the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' poll, and generally winning games with aplomb. They're in great shape, but with Atlantic 10 Conference play just around the corner, the real tests are just beginning. They tip-off tonight against a Temple Owls team that went to the NCAA Tournament last year -- but that was last year. Brian Conklin and Cody Ellis pit their one-two scoring punch and their stout defense (fifth in the nation, last we checked) against the Owls at 8 p.m. at Chaifetz Arena (1 South Compton Avenue; 314-977-5000 or www.thechaifetzarena.com). Tickets are $12 to $40.
